What this is

LandMode is a job application tracker, operated by Eran Kaufman, an individual trading as LandMode. That is who decides what is stored here and who answers for it. Contact: support@landmode.app.

What it stores

Only what you give it or ask it to fetch:

• Your sign-in — your email address, and a password if you sign up with one (held hashed by Google's sign-in service, never by LandMode). Signing in with Google instead adds your name and profile picture URL; LandMode requests only the basicopenid email profile scopes. It does not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts, and cannot read them.
• Emails you forward to it — each message you send to your private forwarding address, so it can update the application it is about. Only what you forward arrives; nothing is fetched from your inbox.
• Interview recordings — audio you upload, and the transcript made from it.
• What you put in the tracker — companies, roles, links, statuses, notes, contacts you record, and the full history of status changes.
• Your profile and resumes — the resume files you upload and the text extracted from them, plus the profile built from them.
• A record of every AI request — which feature ran, when, and what it cost, so usage limits and billing are auditable.

Who else sees it

It is not sold, and it is not used to train anyone's models. Three processors handle it on LandMode's behalf:

• Google Cloud — hosting, database, file storage, sign-in, and transcription of interview recordings, in the United States (us-central1).
• Google Vertex AI — when you run an AI feature, the relevant text is sent to a Gemini model. That includes your resume text and profile when you ask for a match score, a tailored draft, or search advice. Vertex AI does not use this data to train its models.
• Paddle — handles payment details if billing is live on this deployment. Card details are entered on their pages and never reach LandMode. As merchant of record they are the seller: the purchase contract and the invoice are theirs, and they handle tax.

AI features are never automatic. Nothing is sent to a model until you press a button that says it will, and LandMode never sends a message, application or email to anyone on your behalf.

Getting it back, or getting rid of it

Export — Settings has a button that returns everything as one JSON file, including the AI request log.

Deletion — Settings also deletes your account. That removes your sign-in, your workspace, every application and its history, your contacts, searches and offers, and the resume files and recordings themselves from storage. It is immediate, irreversible, and there is no grace period or soft-delete. Backups roll off within 7 days.

Cookies

One session cookie, so you stay signed in. Before you sign up, one more first-party cookie remembers which site or link brought you here (for example a search engine or a post), and the page you landed on. It is read once, when you create your account, and stored with the account so we know which places are worth our time. The cookie is then deleted. No advertising, and no third-party trackers.

How we count usage

We count page views with Umami, which we run ourselves on our own infrastructure. It sets no cookies, does not follow you between sites, and the data never leaves our systems — there is no third party involved and nothing is sold or shared. It records the page, the referring site, and a coarse browser and device type.

Separately, our own server logs record which features are used and how many people signed in each day, tied to an internal account id rather than to your name or email. Those logs are deleted after 30 days.

Changes

If this changes materially you will see it here with a new date. LandMode is run by one person, so treat it accordingly: keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose. The export button exists for exactly that.
